
Herb McCoy

Herb McCoy attended our beloved Clark College where he was a football scholarship student athlete. He graduated in 1982 with a BA in Education and a sparked desire to serve throughout his communities. Herb was initiated into Omega Psi Phi Fraternity during the moratorium year of fall 1979. He earned a Master of Science degree in technology management from Mercer University in 1996. His business career includes earning Series 6 and 63 licenses for the varied financial services roles held throughout his banking profession. He started and has remained in banking for over 30 years where he is currently employed as a VP for branch banking in the City of Decatur, GA. Herb volunteer and civic duties have included working in leadership roles with organizations such as Rotary International, Leadership DeKalb County, Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, DeKalb County Public Library Board of Trustees and DeKalb County Volunteer Lawyers Foundation. Herb is married to Leslie and they have a one and done son, Corbin who in turn is married with 1 daughter and a set of twin boys. In Herb’s spare time, he enjoys playing golf, swimming, traveling, reading, and ongoing life interactions with family & friends.
