Message from the Chair

I am writing to you on behalf of the entire board of our foundation. As Chairman, I want to express my sincere appreciation for your ongoing support and commitment to our mission. Your engagement and contributions have been instrumental in helping us achieve our goal of making a meaningful impact in the lives of scholars at Clark Atlanta University.

Over the past nine years we have focused on building relationships while taking advantage of opportunities to increase alumni engagement. With your partnerships, we have advanced our mission driving positive change to our student’s experiences at CAU.  

 

As we begin 2026 it’s hard to believe our foundation will be just ten years old. It doesn’t seem that long ago we walked on to our football field at halftime and presented our initial pledge of $100,000.00. On that day we took on the responsibility of giving back to our beloved alma mater. We should acknowledge those who guided us towards knowledge and higher education at an HBCU. None of us took this road alone, we had help! Yes, we did the work but all of us had help from our village.

Now, that “Responsibility” is ours to become part of the village to guide the current scholars at Clark Atlanta University. Through our collective efforts I’m proud to report the Beta Psi 1923 Foundation Inc. has raised more than $600,000.00 in student scholarships and placing our foundation on track to fulfill our pledge to raise “0ne Million Dollars”.

As our foundation strives for unprecedented goals, I’m reminded by our beloved fraternity brother Dr. Benjamin E. Mayes who emphasized “responsibility” through purposeful living urging people to fulfill unique potential, set high goals and act with excellence. Your partnership is invaluable as we strive to fulfill our foundation’s mission.
